Privacy Notice

Last updated: July 17, 2026

This notice explains what information FounderMag collects when you visit the Site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep this deliberately narrow: FounderMag is a content publication, not an app that needs your account or personal data to work.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what's needed to run the Site and its few interactive features:

  • Newsletter signup. If you subscribe, we forward the email address you provide to our email newsletter provider, who stores it so we can send you FounderMag updates.
  • Deal and affiliate link clicks. When you click a deal or affiliate link, we may log that a click happened (which product, which page) to understand which deals readers find useful. This doesn't include your name or email.
  • Theme preference. Your light/dark mode choice is saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only — we never see it.
  • Standard hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) automatically logs technical data common to any website request, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability purposes.

We don't require an account to read FounderMag, and we don't ask for payment or identity information anywhere on the Site.

2. How we use this information

  • To send the newsletter to subscribers, and nothing else.
  • To understand which launches, reviews, and deals readers engage with, so we can prioritize what we cover.
  • To keep the Site secure and diagnose technical issues.
  • To meet legal obligations where applicable.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies and local storage

For details on the cookies and browser storage FounderMag uses (and the ones set by third parties when you click an affiliate link), see our Cookie Policy.

4. Third-party services

FounderMag is hosted on Cloudflare, which also stores the anonymous page-view counts described above. Newsletter signups are forwarded to and stored by our email newsletter provider, Brevo — FounderMag doesn't keep a separate copy. When you follow an affiliate or product link, you leave FounderMag and become subject to that third party's own privacy practices — we encourage you to review them.

5. Data retention

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Click and hosting logs are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, then deleted or aggregated so they no longer identify an individual visitor.

6. Your rights and choices

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any email we send.
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you by emailing us.
  • Clear your browser's local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings.

If you're in the EEA, UK, or a jurisdiction with similar data-protection law, these choices correspond to your rights under that law (e.g. GDPR). We'll respond to verified requests within a reasonable time.

7. Children's privacy

FounderMag is intended for a professional, adult audience (founders, developers, marketers) and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the Site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
